Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be referred by my doctor?
No. You don’t need a referral from a doctor to start physical therapy treatment. A referral can be obtained from a doctor within 30 days of starting physical therapy treatment. For your convenience, we have a pain management doctor who comes to our facility every week who can evaluate your condition.
Will my insurance cover your services? What would I have to pay each visit?
Most insurance plans cover outpatient therapy. Usually, there is a deductible and/or a co-payment for each visit. Also, we can discuss your treatment cost and a payment plan.
What do I need to bring and what should I wear?
On your initial visit, please bring your doctor’s orders for physical therapy and your insurance card. Loose-fitting, comfortable clothing is recommended. You may want to wear or bring shorts if you have lower limb problems
How long is each visit? What treatments will I receive?
The first visit takes about one hour. Each follow-up visit will last about 30 to 45 minutes. After a careful evaluation, the therapist will create a customized treatment plan for you designed to treat your condition. A specific and individualized treatment program will then be developed focused on resolving any problems and/or deficits and achieving your goals.
How often are my treatments? How long do they last?
Frequency and duration of treatment will be determined by your physician or after the initial evaluation by your therapist. The typical frequency is 2-3 times per week. Each visit will last about 30 to 45 minutes.
